AI Disclosure
Soft launch · Last updated September 29, 2026
Dripstone is built around Terra, an AI assistant that provisions and manages your Minecraft server through chat. This page tells you, in plain language, what Terra is, what she can and can't do, and how your information is used. If anything here is unclear, email hello@playdripstone.com and a human will answer.
Terra is an AI, not a person
When you chat in Dripstone, you are talking to an AI system powered by large language models from OpenAI — not a human support agent. Terra has a name and a personality because that makes her pleasant to talk to, but she doesn't have experiences, opinions, or consciousness. She generates replies based on patterns in data, and she can be wrong.
What Terra can do
- Create, configure, and delete your Minecraft server when you ask her to.
- Manage day-to-day server tasks: whitelist and op players, change difficulty and settings, check who's online, broadcast messages, restart the server, read logs, and take world snapshots.
- Explain what she's doing and answer questions about your server and subscription.
She does all of this through a fixed set of typed tools — she can't run arbitrary commands, access other customers' servers, or touch anything outside your account.
What Terra can't do
- She can make mistakes. She may misunderstand a request, misstate a setting, or describe something confidently that isn't true. Double-check anything important.
- She can't do the impossible. She can't convert a Bedrock world to Java, recover data that was never snapshotted, or control things outside Dripstone.
- She's not a human and not a lawyer, accountant, or therapist. Don't rely on her for legal, financial, medical, or safety- critical advice.
Guardrails on destructive actions
Actions that can't be easily undone — like deleting a server — always require your explicit confirmation in the chat before Terra proceeds. A final world snapshot is taken automatically before deletion, so there's a way back. These guardrails exist precisely because AI systems can misinterpret requests.
Human oversight
Dripstone is a soft launch run by a human operator. Automated systems watch for crashes and outages and file them into a support inbox that a human reviews. If Terra behaves badly, gets stuck, or does something you didn't ask for, tell us at hello@playdripstone.com — real reports from real users are how she gets better.
How your chat data is used
- Your messages are sent to OpenAI to generate Terra's replies and to carry out the tool calls you request. OpenAI processes this data as our service provider.
- We keep chat history so your conversations persist and so we can debug problems, review for abuse, and improve reliability.
- We don't sell your chat data or use it for advertising.
See the Privacy Policy for the full picture, including retention and your rights.
Content and safety
Terra is instructed to refuse requests that would harm the service or other people — attacks, abuse, illegal content, and attempts to break out of her tool permissions. Automated and human review may look at flagged conversations. Using Dripstone to probe, jailbreak, or abuse the AI systems may lead to account suspension under our Terms of Service.
